From there, descend deep into history at Kaymaklı Underground City – the largest and deepest accessible subterranean settlement in the region. Wander through its maze-like tunnels, living quarters, churches, and storage rooms, marveling at how entire communities once lived hidden beneath the earth for months at a time.

After emerging back into the sunlight, enjoy a scenic drive to the stunning Ihlara Valley – one of Turkey’s most impressive canyons. Stretching 14 km along the Melendiz River, this lush green oasis is carved dramatically into the tuff rock and dotted with over a hundred rock-cut Byzantine churches adorned with ancient frescoes. Following a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the enchanting Narlıgöl Crater Lake – a heart-shaped volcanic lake famous for its striking turquoise waters and serene, mirror-like surface surrounded by gentle hills.
