The Hammam or Turkish Bath, is a time-honored ritual of religious and spiritual purification believed to have originated in Turkey and the Middle East. It’s a form of steam bathing that no trip to Turkey feels truly complete without experiencing. More than just cleansing, the Hammam offers a profound renewal of body and spirit—its true magic lies in delivering total mental and physical serenity. As the old Eastern saying goes: “It claims both your body and your soul.” Surrender to the allure of this exotic ritual, just as Ottoman sultans and sultanas once did.
The Turkish bath begins in a gently heated chamber (called the warm room), where a steady stream of hot, dry air encourages deep perspiration and relaxation. From there, guests proceed to an intensely hot room (the hot room) before rinsing with cool water. Following a thorough full-body scrub and invigorating massage, visitors retreat to the cooling room for a final phase of tranquil repose.
Your dedicated therapist will be present throughout, offering a full spectrum of indulgent treatments crafted to pamper, polish, purify, and revitalize you.
